Sally Meding, Native of London, is a signature member of the New England Watercolor Society, Southwestern
Watercolor
Society, and Rhode Island Watercolor Society. She obtained a PhD in Freiburg, Germany and immigrated to the
United
States in 1990. She has a studio in Natick, MA and teaches watercolor at all levels in the Metro West area,
online
and in person.
A versatile artist creating mostly semi-abstract works in watercolor on paper. She is passionate about preserving balance in the environment and she often connects her work with these delicate issues. Her approach is to play a game of “contrasts” particularly warm against cool or light against dark for emphasis. Color and texture are strong elements in her complex designs.
Sally is published in "Confident Color" by Nita Leland (North Light 2008) has appeared on HGTV “That's Clever” and has taken over 30 workshops with well-known artists including Jane E. Jones, Miles Batt, Mark Mehaffey. Pat Dews, Nita Leland, Carl Dalio, and Betsy Dillard Stroud, Sally has work in private and corporate collections in Germany, UK, California, Texas and Massachusetts.
